Program Overview:
Project Management I is an introductory undergraduate course that introduces the principles and practices of project management. The course aims to build a foundation in project lifecycle, scope definition, planning, and scheduling aligned with PMBOK® methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter input on core project management topics: initiation, scope, schedule, budget, risk, communication.
- Co-develop modules, learning outcomes, activities, rubrics, and assessments in collaboration with instructional designers.
- Suggest real-world examples that reflect current industry practices and beginner-level project applications.
- Ensure that all content aligns with academic standards, scaffolds learning progressively, and supports student engagement.
Qualifications
- Required: MBA or MS in Project Management, Operations Management, or related field.
- Preferred: PMP certification, teaching experience in project management.
- 5+ years of combined experience in project execution, curriculum development, or online education.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong foundational knowledge of PMBOK principles.
- Experience with basic tools like WBS, Gantt charts, and stakeholder matrices.
- Ability to bridge the gap between textbook theory and professional practice.
- Prior exposure to online learning platforms (Canvas, Blackboard) is a plus.
