WBTS was facing a big problem. Old-fashioned onboarding methods like slide decks, videos, and static quizzes, did not engage new employees and left them with inconsistent retention. They needed an engaging way to onboard new hires that allowed them to deeply immerse themselves in the onboarding experience.
Hurix Digital developed a set of game-based modules that were customized to the client’s corporate culture and processes. The game modules include scenario-based decision-making, real-life work simulations, checkpoints to assess knowledge gain, and opportunity to provide instant feedback. The modules carried SCORM compliance and integrated seamlessly into WBTS’s LMS so WBTS could have visibility into their new employee’s learning progress and output through report capabilities.
Within weeks of launching, WBTS’s new employee onboarding feedback reports improved. New employees reported that they found the onboarding experience engaging and fun, and managers observed quicker ramp-up time. Even anyone can play through the simulations that replicate the same decisions they will have to make in the workplace, so they are more confident when starting.
